Every group has its own humour, pace, rituals, and rough level. We tell you honestly what it feels like before you join.

The vibe matters.

Level matters, but so does the way a group talks, laughs, learns, and makes room for each other.

What happens a lot

Speaking. Eighty minutes where everyone talks, gets gently corrected, and leaves a little braver.

What can happen

Debates that run over, inside jokes, grammar that suddenly clicks, and homework you actually want to do.

What doesn't happen

Reading a textbook aloud in turns, hiding at the back, or sitting quietly while one person does all the talking.

Born in Minsk. Built to travel.

KickStart began in Belarus with Jon and Olga, a British–Belarusian couple. When Covid changed everything, the school moved online and made a new home in the UK.

The classrooms changed. The idea didn’t: small groups, honest teaching, and English you actually use.
